Nicole Marquez, an aspiring dancer from Mississippi, came to New York to realize her dream. When she returned home after an audition, she found herself locked out of her apartment. She tried to find a way in by climbing to the roof of her building and entering through a window. She fell six stories to the alleyway below. Nicole broke her neck, back, pelvis, and ribs, and punctured her lung. She wasn’t found until the next day.
