Austrian born artist Alois Kronschlaeger lives and works in Brooklyn. His new solo exhibition is entitled Allotropisms. Measuring fifteen feet high and spanning a length of sixty-five feet, Kronschlaeger has combined elements of biomorphic and geometric abstraction to create a giant stalactite composed entirely of wire mesh, wood and poured paint. Impressive in scale and
subtle in its aesthetics, this installation hovers halfway between an Alpine mountain range and a Sol LeWitt sculpture.
