Bill Hooker has never had an idea that couldn't be improved by sharing it with as many people as possible -- and doesn't believe that anyone else has, either. This is the root of his interest in the ways in which the internet can improve the practice of science. He is particularly interested in extending the "open" ethos of Open Source software and Open Access publishing to all aspects of science, from raw data to hypothesis testing by way of distributed, collaborative effort.
