A walk through of the December 2009 - January 2010 exhibition by CHAP on the Orchard Street Shul. This was an artist organized exhibition of new works by artists responding to the the environment, history, or architecture of a state-designated history site. Participating artists came from diverse cultural backgrounds and artistic disciplines, volunteering their time to create a new model of artist - community partnership. An accompanying Project Book with historical essays by Hasia Diner, Walter Cahn, Barry Herman, Hana Iverson and Karen Schiff put the exhibition in context.
