I'm gonna attempt to articulate something here...
You know how you see a play with minimal set and props but it's great because the imagination does a great job filling all that in? Improvising the scene in the office on video like you did WORKED. Example when staking out the floor Blindie (Blake-Indie) was improvising moving sand, uncovering - I LOVED that!

Good call. That dude was totally going to take the goods.
