Reconstructing an American Masterpiece is a challenging endeavor. Add in the fact that the work was made in 1942 by Sophie Maslow, one of the great voices of modern dance, and you have a fascinating project and material for a detailed Inside Look documentary.
With contributions from Ms. Maslow's daughter Abby Blatt, former Maslow dancers Lynn Frielinghaus and Greg Halloran, Inside Look: Folksay is a detailed exploration of a classic dance being restored to the stage in 2008.
