The rules are as follows:

- The game can only be initiated by making sounds. You may not invite someone to participate or suggest a game be played. If another player responds by making their own sounds, the game has begun.
- Once the game begins, both players must continue making sounds, non-stop, until either player loses composure and begins to smile or laugh. Sounds should be as varied and random as possible.

We've always been fond of making random noises, which I think we all discovered one night coming home from the bowling alley when it was cold. I have this theory that making sounds loudly helps you warm up, so with four of us in the car we made the ten minute drive back to campus, making noises loudly without stopping. It evolved.

Joe always wins. The game is considerably more challenging with spectators, who are free to laugh.
