Music video for Leo Altarelli’s 'Cabin Fever', a song inspired by the cold winter winds blowing along the Brighton seafront.

About the video:

As well as being an active musician Leo is co-founder of Lunchbox Films, an animation company that aims to ‘Keep Kids Animated!’ Leo and Lunchbox Films have been working with three home-educated kids to create a world first!

Founded by Theo Godley and Leo Altarelli, Lunchbox Films is a company that travels around the UK helping young people create animations in schools and communities. We wished to expand into the music video genre and Leo had a particular track we could use so we asked the three Brighton based home-educated young animators if they wanted to help us make the video.

For a couple hours each week, Leo & Theo have helped Elliot, Ione & Jake brainstorm and storyboard their ideas, build the cabin, create backgrounds, make props, light the sets, direct scenes, and animate the stop-motion sequences.

It took a lot of perseverance and will power from all involved to get this video made. We would often find ourselves taking long periods out as Elliot and his family were away in France creating their own cabin! Almost a year on and the video is complete. A combination of dedication and creativity has led to a dynamic, organic and highly original result.

To celebrate the completion of the video we are planning to take ‘Cabin Fever’ on the road. ‘Cabin Fever the Tour’ opens on the 13th of November in Brighton. Promising not to be your average night out, the evenings will feature live music from Leo and his band, interactive visuals from one of the country’s top VJs and your chance to have a go at animation and VJing. Further incentive to head on down is the opportunity to see your artistic endeavours featured in Leo’s next video ‘See it Now’.
