Super nice look and feel, Lighting looked really good. What lights were you using?
  • Justen Soule plus 1 year ago
It was a mixture of several lights, consisting of:

3 Lowell 250s and 2 Lowell Omni lights used as key lighting.

1 Rifa light with softbox aimed upward beside the box to add softer light when a rider was in the air (while not being blinding at the same time).

And a couple additional work lights for fill and to add hits of light on certain details in the park (like logos).

How did you find mixing footage from the 60D and the HMC150? Were there any particular difficulties or general issues?
  • Justen Soule plus 10 months ago
It's not too bad mixing the footage from both cameras and making it match. Especially if you focus on equalizing the white balance temperatures to be as close to each other as possible before shooting.

It also helps a huge amount to transcode the 60D footage to ProRes422 before editing. Just due to the color correction control it gives you compared to the raw footage from the 60D.

    damn yo. so ill

was the canon 17-85 the f/4-5.6??
  • Justen Soule plus 9 months ago
Yes, but there are only one or two clips in the video that use it. The majority used the 50mm/1.4.
