I went to the Uitmarkt on Saturday to see a few highlights of the upcoming 2008/2009 cultural season. After a few hours, I reckoned it was such a beautiful day, too nice to just sit on my ass, have a beer and wait for the next act (yeah, that’s really aweful).

So I decided to get myself out of Dodge, cycle south (there’s only one way, lol) along the Amstel River to Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, clearing myself from that bubbly and busy town. Also a golden opportunity to show you a quiet spot is only a stone throw away, so to speak.
