Thanks, I have to wait till it starts raining again to do the next part, In London that should not be a problem LOL

Ha Ha London's not that bad, I visited for the 1st time this summer and we had many sunny days.Everyone joked that we caught the very very short summer.

I live in a city called Thunder Bay, guess what the weathers like here?

LOL, Um something begining in S ending in M,
That would be perfect for this short film.

Yes london has very short summers and freaky weathers, I can recall it once being windy, raining, snowing and sunny all in one day, but your right in general its not that bad at all : )

dug the opening. very much like the Lionsgate logo.

Thanks, I wanted opening to have the effect that something is coming and travelling through time and space hence the clock gears.

I liked the gears animation. Sounds like you could use a better microphone, though. Good job.

Thank Dan, the gears I had to buy from istockphoto, I’m hoping to get better gear soon like a HD Camera and a professional new mic. At the moment I am filming poor man style, I agree the mic was distorted in a few places; it was a cheap headset with additional mic. I should have turn down the volume gain

Yeah, the more I do videos the more I realize that audio is so important in a video. I tend to think that the audio is 60% of the experience and the visuals are the smaller part. I'm still trying to get better with the audio in my videos, it's tough because a visual person like myself doesn't know a thing about audio. But that's why I just keep at it. A little bit of tenacity goes a long way.

The beginning is really good! The sparks effect..uhhn don't think so. And why is the picture so squeezed?
  •
  • Kenrick Fagan 1 year ago
Thanks for your comments, yeah the sparks I will be polishing up when I get my head around after effects, I done the spark effect using FX Home, poor mans technology software. Why the picture was squeezed was really just to try something different, in the second part of the scene will be full when the action takes place.

    Loved the opening.

To make the sparks a bit more realistic, you cold motion track the footage in After Effects, then apply the tracking data to the spark emitter. Then the sparks would move with the footage. And then maybe try changing the transfer mode to see if it blends with the footage better.

The motion tracker in AE isn't great, but give it a try and see if it works.

Thanks Steve, I will try that as it does look like the spark and the video are doing their own thing, so the tracker may be the trick. Cheers
