waves sound design suite & apple logic pro 9
here is a short description of the usage with the different waves plug ins.
1: a lot of q-series eqs. i used it in combination with the s1 mid/side function to get some spatial fx (s1 to switch from lr to ms and after eqing back from ms to lr).
there is also an automated q-series eq in an aux channel (like a sub master) to get some comb-filter fxs for more wired feeling in the slomo sequence.
2: an automated meta flanger gives the slomo part more strange feeling.
3: a time safer is also the h-delay. just a few knobs but a great sound. it is used for the crackling glass/metal.
4: for more bass intensity i love the rbass plug in. it is so easy to use and sounds really great. and it is possible to stack it with different frequencies.
5: there are also lo air plugs used. for me this plug in gives the signal more low punch - especially with the lo air fader.
6: for a little bit dynamic damping there are used the c4 comps. for more body i used only the upper bands (bands 2-4). so, the subbass area sounds not too much compressed.
7: for more accents there is plugged the trans-x.
8: in the master channel i have chosen a little bit of s1 width for a broader stereo image.
9: for more perceived loudness i stacked two limiters. i have used the l1 (it sounds a little bit dirty) and then a l3 ultramaximizer with idr dithering for a cleaner loudness.
so, i hope you enjoy!
and a big thanks to waves for the funny hours with the plug ins.
