The main character of this trip is BLU, one of the most original and sought-after street artists in the world, who has taken part in important international exhibitions such as “Poliniza” in Valencia (Spain), “Segundo Asalto” in Saragoza (Spain) and “Urban Eyes” in Belfast.
Megunica is born when Lorenzo realizes that he’s such a fan of Blu’s work that he feels his art should be shared by as many people as possible. The documentary medium seemed the most natural to choose and it was this urgency often found in filmmakers and artists obsessions that put them on the trails of a different civilization, distant only in appearance, that offered new and different inputs from the ones they were used to.
The documentary, whose keywords are improvisation, inspiration, innovation and self-exploration, crosses five countries to get in touch with new worlds and new realities, representing a type of art seldom found inside the four walls of an institutional museum, but not for this reason less important.
With the help of some travel-guides and a few friends and local artists, this film charts the effort to complete a minimally planned trip that has much in common with BLU’s creative approach to his art. The experiences lived will be strictly related to the random impulses that the trip itself will present on the road.
