I was given two days to come up with some imagery of the wine region in Western Australia. It was a big ask, not to mention this time included editing the footage into something meaningful. I have mixed feelings about the result. I made things a lot harder for myself when one afternoons shooting was unusable when I made a poor choice of lenses.

It's obvious this is something that needs to be completed over a year to take in the changes due to the four seasons. I had limited footage at my disposal, so getting a two minute clip together was pretty tough.

Hope you like it for what it is. Visit us at christianfletcher.wordpress.com or christianfletcher.com.au

Very nice, I like this lots. And the fisherman shot (but particularly the vignette you used) was spectacular.

Thanks Greg. The vignette was created using the eight point garbage matte in Final Cut Pro. Like your work also.

Again, a nice work! I like the mix of color and B&W.

Thanks Carl. Sometimes the color in the footage is a bit flat so making it Black & White can salvage a clip from certain deletion. Mixing it up can add a dramatic effect but I'm still not 100% at doing it correctly.

The important thing is the photography, which I think you have really nailed. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself, it is what it is at the end of the day and your pictures are stunning, but if i had to critisize, then I would say the music is wrong, its too dramatic. You have lovely pictures weighed down by heavy sounds. Please don't take offence, its only my opinion. great work by the way, you have a great eye.

You are right Adam. I think the piece of music for this clip didn't work so well. I appreciate the critique, its the only way to improve. Thanks for the comment

The wine in the South West of Western Australia is magnificent. I have a wine maker friend who just had a Cab Sav he made voted the best Cab Sav in the world. Can't really get better than that. Thanks for watching. I'm glad you got something from my Vids.

I definitely enjoyed the video, especially the boy on the dock, the red flowers, some of the vine shots, etc.

I also agree with Adam above. Before I read his comment, I was going to leave my own with that as the only criticism. I felt like I was watching a "Blade Runner" segment (which I love BTW) giving it a feel contrary to what I think you were trying to portray.

The music, and some of the imagery could be used brilliantly in a 'remembrances" segment though.

    Two thumbs up!
