I'm curious about the 'deconstructivism' art movement in architecture, and I was exploring those ideas in my 3D work. But everytime I see something like that over the internet, it's always very nervous, agressive, with breakbeat or jungle music and I was thinking "can't it be calm ?" "Can't we have some time enjoying what we're watching ?"
So here it is...
Entirely made with blender...

ive been curious as to how that style is done, granted i guess diff. people may go about it a diff way depending on the program. But is it just any kind of deformation modifier pushed overboard?

Ahhh...thank you! I really like the way the camera moves down at the end as the song goes quiet.

Oh..and not to spoil it with tech questions but I'd love some info on linking sound to animation in blender...

The trick is that I've made some black and white textures in After effect with the sound key plug in, then use those with some displacement modifiers in blender...

Ahh..I see..clever. So it's not entirely made with blender ;)

    This is a great video.
Very estetic, the idea is really good, and work perfectly with the music.
Maybe your blue is a litle bit too saturate, too intense, i would prefer a darker blue, but it's just my opinion.
    congratulations.

That is cool. How did you do this? did you use a python script to detect the audio and create the animations?
