WAR IS OVER! (If You Want It)
8 Dec 2007
I miss you, John.
27 years later, I still wish I could turn back the clock to the Summer of 1980. I remember everything - sharing our morning coffee, walking in the park together on a beautiful day, and seeing your hand stretched to mine - holding it, reassuring me that I shouldn't worry about anything because our life was good.
I had no idea that life was about to teach me the toughest lesson of all. I learned the intense pain of losing a loved one suddenly, without warning, and without having the time for a final hug and the chance to say, "I love you," for the last time. The pain and shock of that sudden loss is with me every moment of every day. When I touched John's side of our bed on the night of December 8th, 1980, I realized that it was still warm. That moment has haunted me for the past 27 years - and will stay with me forever.
Even harder for me is watching what was taken away from our beautiful boy, Sean. He lives in silent anger over not having his Dad, whom he loved so much, around to share his life with. I know we are not alone. Our pain is one shared by many other families who are suffering as the victims of senseless violence. This pain has to stop.
Let's not waste the lives of those we have lost. Let's, together, make the world a place of love and joy and not a place of fear and anger. This day of John's passing has become more and more important for so many people around the world as the day to remember his message of Peace and Love and to do what each of us can to work on healing this planet we cherish.
Let's Think PEACE, Act PEACE and Spread PEACE.
John worked for it all his life.
He said, "There's no problem, only solutions."
Remember, we are all together.
We can do it, we must.
I love you!

Previous Week
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religon too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
Imagine no possesions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
In a brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say i'm a dreamer
But i'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one
The Earth and the universe containing it, are really the only creation that matters.
I believe John and Yoko had turned the corner on the manmade materialism, that sadly is still considered as "development". China , India are eager to follow the pathetic path of western style consurmerism.
So much for "carrying pictures of chairman mao", (which I did for a number of years).
All I can say as it is still a dream and I believe John was murdered for this dream. Not by conspiracy, just a flawed human who could not dream perhaps.
Thank you Yoko
Peace&Love

uhhh,8.th december i was in shock...for a long time...
...and unfortunately"Newsweek"has right:
JOHN LENNON'S KILLED BY A FAN
" WHEN THE MUSIC DIED!"
Where is the Music,now?
Let's Ask John:Thank God It's Christmas!
The message is the same all year long.
Imagine all of us in the World March, October 2009: theworldmarch.org/
See you all there!
Instea of going out to church I am praying for peace by watching your website videos and all the good work on Earth that you and John joined together in 1967 to start. We are moving closer to your dreams but since I work in film editing I am very disturbed that I saw a film about WWII last week that many people think is just hip and wonderful when it actually sickened me because it showed revenge and ugly violence. Your video about Rejkavik and the geothermal world without pollution was much more useful. Last night my car got stuck and the AAA mechanic revved the engine to try to get the computer reset and I had to run out of the car away from the fumes. Did anyone ever think that maybe the poisons we create and ingest have caused us to think war and killing? That if we clean our energy sources and stop killing nature and stop hating out of revenge that this may lead to sanity that is the basis for clear thinking about a peaceful world? Your work is true religion. Thank you and bless you. Joanna
