This piece was made during my first year in the Aix-en-Provence School of Art (Ecole d'Art d'Aix-en-Provence), we had to mold our faces for the volume introductory course. While some classmates were applying plastered ribbons on my face, I started to panic and to suffocate.
I decided to use the mold to build a representation of my experience. I made a latex mask over a wood frame and covered the overall with translucent PVC film. Finally, I installed the mask with the frame on a speaker diffusing the suffocating sounds we can hear on the video.
