17. Shotgun mic Test - Exterior / Interior with the RODE NTG-3

Shotgun mics do not perform as well indoors. You'll want to consider a different mic if the room is small with low ceilings, hardwood floors, bare walls, etc. If your room is as bad as this one, a few moving blankets or a different location are options to explore. Outdoors within about 2 feet, the NTG-3 is great. Be sure to check out the new RODE blimp to prevent wind from ruining your sound. dvcreators.net/rode-blimp/
