This movie I created for my Film History Class at SCAD-ATL. It was built around the end Forced Perspective shot. No effects where made digitally. All raw footage and straight from camera, except for some slight editing to put the story and music together. My teacher said he really liked it! :) I call this my color silent film. I didn't want to add sound effects because I really wanted to stick to limiting myself to the technology of the 1920's, without the camera of course. :) The Dragon is my miniature I got from Target for $20. He's adorable!

I came up with the concept/story and final shot, but my boyfriend Andy Sapp helped film, and also the setting up of the final shot. :) We used the tripod as well for some of the shots. He's my great helper! If you check out his videos, you'll see I shoot most of his drifting videos. It's a great way to practice. :)

2 favourite takes: the one with the glass next to the camera, in focus (do we call that "first plane"?) - we can only see your feet "acting" in the background while the water trembles; and the second last (is it?), when the camera is on the ground, everything in focus, you go running. And, of course, the inevitable question: how do you "blend" the two planes so believable (?!) in the final shot? Nice work!
