A student of the Tibetan language, Richard Kohn was invited by the abbot of a Tibetan monastery in Nepal to film not only the public portion of "Mani Rimdu," but the long private preparation, including a sand mandala, chanting, dance in the courtyard. "To the ordinary mind, everyone is ordinary. To the enlightened mind, everyone is a Buddha."
