104. Locked in a Vegas Hotel Room with a Phantom Flex
1 year ago
I was working a gig in Vegas with a brand new Phantom Flex high speed digital cinema camera. I had to try it out. In fact, I never did go to bed that night. I opened up a wormhole shooting at 2,564 frames per second.

The answer is, not a lot. I've played with this camera myself at the BVE in London last week, it's truly awesome and considering buying one. Mind you, they're £150,000. Rental is £2000 per day.

It must have been sad having to part ways with the Phantom, but what happened in Vegas now gets to be shared with the whole world. I see Vision Research has a booth at NAB 2011. Maybe you can reprise your act in April!

    It's like a window into a 4th dimension.

What's the noise and exposure like with that kind of FPS? Must have to work at crazy high ISOs with tons of light right?
