Amish- you must be the only groom that is going to catch their clip on Vimeo before it goes live on the blog...

  • Why we were doing yoga moves? I have no idea. But I just realized from this that my posture sucks. Thanks for letting the world know. I guess I should get on my Wii Fit more often :P

You guys are awesome! I've been watching silently you clips for a while now and got to admit, doing a SDE in an hour is a glorious thing.

Being an aspiring videographer all the way from Romania, I must admit I am very moved and inspired by you guys (Michael you are my idol). I have kind of the same cinematic vision you do, although with a glidecam 2000 and an xh a1 only I can't do much, but I dream of the day when I will be able to accomplish what you guys do on a frequent basis. Rock on!

I am absolutely in awe of your work and this one is no exception. I'm pretty certain I'll attend one of your workshops as soon as I get my schedule worked out. I'm just starting to break into wedding videography with about half a dozen weddings under my belt at this point. I've watched everything you guys have posted on Vimeo (I watch some of my favs over and over again) and probably everything on your blog. I've also seen Amish's many comments and its great to see his SDE. You guys have inspired me in so many ways and I have yet to see anything that comes close to the level of work your team produces. I loved the escalator shot with the steadicam... that was really cool. Congrats Amish & Natisha!

    Adimage,

Believe it or not you can do very great things with the Canon XH-A1 + a handheld glidecam 2000. It is just a matter of practise and patience. I don't know how comfortable I feel about being someone's idol however, but I definately idolize Konrad & Patrick's steadicam work on a regular basis.

I know what you mean about the glidecam, after some time I managed to be able to balance it just right.

What I meant was that while Patrick and Konrad's steadicam work is magnificent and I wish I will be able to do that someday, by also reading your profile on the site, I figured that you must do a very good job documenting the day and leaving them do so great creative work.

  • Thanks Jeff!

When Patrick mentioned the escalator shot when we were up in the hotel, I 'somewhat' invisioned what he was thinking, but it so came out better than I thought!

Adimage, I recently picked up a Glidecam 2000 Pro, which i'm only using with my HV20, and I agree it does take some time to get use to it.

2:24-2:26, I cannot imagine trying to get that type of buttery 'smoothness' running down that hill (it was pretty steep!). Crapshoot, I almost took my wife down head over heels myself, let alone running down with stedicam gear!

I am utterly blown away by these StillMotion videos. The music and pacing is great, and the cinematography is amazing! The Glidecam adds so much to the whole thing.

But what amazes me the most is that you've created a video that is not only immensely creative, but that it actually breeds creative juices! I'm sitting here getting excited about not only video shots but also the opportunities for great still shots. I wish I was there on those shoots to partake.

I'm not even dating, and I'm considering booking Stillmotion for 2010, in hopes that I find someone to marry! Maybe a deadline is what I need!

Love your comment Sam. Our goal is to create something that will inspire even those who aren't getting married. It is always great to hear when that works, and even more so, it is great to hear that so many are inspired by our work.

Nice. Impressive work. You don't expect this from wedding videos.

Did you license the music, or are you using it without permission?
