However, in reality, if Developers had any sort of clue about internal and external linking strategies, then Amy, Fred and Bob over there would not be in the brainstorming pickle they are in in the first place.
In my neck of the woods, Developers could care less about learning a thimble-full of SEO and implementing it. They act as if that is grunt work beneath them. At times it very frustrating.
Now more than ever before it is crucial that everyone involved on a project have an excellent working knowledge of SEO principals.
After all, a "pretty website" with a killer data base that is well developed is pretty mute if no one finds it.
That should be the impetus for everyone to work better as a team to get the Client the best results possible.
Someone's Life's Work is nothing to be toyed with.
