This is the first part of a three part presentation involving how Kenton County Adult ESL has incorporated Vocabulary Instruction (V.I.), and Vocabulary Learning Strategies (VLS), into its instruction to create an organizing principle for program design. In this first video, viewers will learn about the theoretical basis used to utilize VI and VLS as the appropriate model for adult L2 instruction in an adult ESL program. Part II, which will be given as a live online presentation on Thursday, February 24, 2011, will address how Kenton County has specifically incorporated this instructional model into its program and the promising results that it has provided. Part II will also be recorded and posted on our Vimeo channel.
