While I was in Brazil recently, I noticed that many of the notable experiences I had had a distinct vein of a second foreign culture running through them - really highlighting the colonial and immigrant history of Brazil.
And while the three that I have highlighted in our blog at National Geographic are all distinctly Brazilian, they embody the rich fabric that is Brazil.
Capoeira is an import from West Africa, though now is one of Brazil's main cultural exports. This is shot at Largo do Boaticario, a sight unto itself.
