Dance-theater piece performed as part of Ten Tiny Dances 2011 at Velocity Dance Center. Seattle, WA. Created by Stimulate Dance, performed by Emma Klein and Allegra Searle-LeBel.

Intro:
"As you know, the destruction of habitat around the world has put the survival of many species at risk. We found these animals performing in the Beijing National Theater and fell in love with them. We knew their message needed to be shared, and brought them on tour sure that they will touch your hearts. Now, obviously, they are used to performing in larger venues, so please take this as an opportunity, a metaphor perhaps, to imagine how grand they could be if only their forests, and perhaps even their stages, were not shrinking in on them."

Appeal:
"Our friends need your love to survive.
The pandas aren't staying alive
in a zoo or a cage or a very small stage
We really need more room to thrive.

So if you have a really large heart
And you don't want the pandas to part
from this world as we know it well please please don't blow it
and clap your hands once, just to start.

Clap your hands twice for the bears
Thrice to show how much you care
Four times is the charm, just the ends of your arms.
Make it loud, for justice we blare!"
