Basically, the film is going to work like this. My Dad made a brilliant speech in both English and German. That's the soundtrack. Inter-cut with whatever sound effects are needed (perhaps shutter clicks, bagpipe music and praying), whilst showing a collection of the best clips I took on my SONY HDV camera.
Here's a little snippet of the idea to run up the flagpole and shoot the puppy.
