A long time ago I was moving house and knew I would not have access to my computer, this before the big push for cloud computing we have now, and I needed access to my hundreds of bookmarks. Luckily I found an excellent service called del.icio.us, it stuck with me, I still use it now every day.
If there is one thing I hate its punctuality, I hate being on time for anything and rather be late, in and ready immediately, than be left hanging around. I simply hate it. I also hate being told what to do, so a reminder of time is also something I hate. The problem is I needed a clock, but every single one I ever saw just repelled me, until I fund this one in Children's 1st Charity Shop in Dundee, Scotland, UK.
It reminded me of the del.icio.us service of course and must have donated by a parent because on the reverse it states:
"Monifieth High School
Clocks designed and manufactured by S2 pupils in Design Technology, Computing and Business Studies Departments 2007"
Originally the clock had a typical timepiece behind it, but I removed that and replaced in favour of a continious sweeping second hand mechanism, like the one I remember in my Geography class (I used to look at the clock a lot in that class). It took a while to get the right pieces and in the end, after about three separate eBay auctions, I took the mechanism to a jeweller and finally got thing working, it took me a few years on and off.
So here it is, my del.icio.us clock, one minute of its, and your, time.
