I saw this technique here: vimeo.com/1354744. If you have a soft green field, it can be fun!

I think I remember Blake doing it. I love how my joy (laughter) this brought you; it made me smile.

i just worked on a production with a glidecam (steadycam), and basically its a camera with a counterweight that can spin any direction.

it reminds me of this, especially in its capacity to make you nauseous. i'll post some footage.

My friend tried to convince me to do this off the 5th floor of a parking garage. She didn't convince me even though there was a soft patch of grass at the bottom.
  • it did exactly this, but I have to say the results were disappointing (and I'm not talking about my camera which didn't survive). I'll see if I can upload it.

Took first place in the 08 Disposable Film Festival!

I've wanted to do that for so long, but just chuck it across a field, and let it land. This was good enough for me though. Made me a bit sick....

I first saw the camera toss from Renetto on Youtube (a REALLY long time ago). I think it works better if you dont put so much spin on the camera.. Then slow the the footage of while it was in the air... Thats pretty cool.

haha cool. I dropped a camera off a bridge once. It wasn't over water though so I had a guy catch it. Stuff like this looks really cool.
