The official music video for Cooperblack's appealing song 'Scary On The Radio', animated by award winning filmmaker Annaliese Ciel Walker.

The initial computer animation and web cam footage was converted to 5,110 JPEG images that were etched into the emulsion of 16mm film negative using a light box and rotoscoping techniques.

Over two years, the images were slowly scratched using magnifying goggles and small tools that held sewing needles and slivers of texta. The technique and the tools evolved over time, as did the style and detail of the animation itself.

Scary On The Radio expresses the relentless nature of progress and technology, particularly in relation to the mass media.

Scary On The Radio has screened at the Los Angeles Music Video Festival, the California International Animation Festival, the Aesthetica Film Festival (UK) and the Byron Bay Film Festival.
