This is an original song written and sung by me, produced by David Pendragon, and currently on the album by Tribeworld Ensemble, called "The Message Stick".
I feel obliged to explain the filmclip I have created for it, as I realise that some people might automatically cast assumptions about my religious beliefs based on the symbolism in the clip.
First of all, I am not afraid of symbolism because it's my belief that it's not the symbols themselves that cause the problems, it's people.
I find many religious symbols to be intriguing and beautiful in their own right, as I find many religious "rituals" to be fascinating.
I follow not one belief system, but a combination of many as I find my own personal truths drawn from a little of each of those I have resonated with.
The wiccan ritual of "drawing down the moon" is something I have used to express what is basically a love song.
Who has not ever found a beautiful full moon to be enchanting, mysterious, "magical" and romantic?
I find myself sometimes standing under a full moon in my garden at night full of wonder at not just my life but at life itself.
The cycles of nature, the tides and the moon are ceaseless and will continue forever, as are the experiences of our human desires.
This song is about that "moment" - the wonder at the miracle of life and power of love itself. Something that I would hope would transcend our religion, race, age, colour or whatever else there is that seemingly "separates" us.
Many thanks to all of those who have helped, encouraged and supported me in the creation of the music and the video clip. :)
