On August 4th 2008 powerful storms rolled through Chicago. What you're viewing is in sequential order. It was pretty interesting how the storm had so many stages and different looks to it. After it's all said and done two separate storms made there way through the city. The first had very high winds and torrential rain. The second storm had heavy rain along with lots of thunder and lightning. It was quite a display and pretty scary.

I actually borrowed this from a friend but will probably pick one up for myself as I've found myself missing the extra coverage. The only downside of it is it's pretty heavy.

that was deadly!

my flight was canceled during that storm,my hotel alarm went off that night, some guest started evacuating in the pouring rain. the police,fire trucks and ambulance's all arrived only to discover there was a short in the alarm system.

Great video I loved from 2 mark to the end. I love the way that one cloud is over the whole city. I love rain and thunder and the music just gives it the calmness after the storm feeling. I could watch this over and over.

I really like this. I'm trying to remember which storm this was, and I think I know.. but not quite sure. But I always love night storms in cities because you get to see the clouds more than you do out where I live and there's more for the lightning to reveal (of course being higher up helps too).

I was there that day. Visiting my new apartment and they evacuated us into the basement and there were trees all over the streets! That was probably the biggest storm I've ever been through. I'm glad someone caught it on tape. Thanks!

Hmm, I remember this storm. Pretty awesome, I also got some footage of it, not as good and clean looking like yours, but you can tell it's a big storm.
