think i know how they made it...
  • Make Some Tea plus 11 months ago
first craved the image in a concrete wall and than filled it up again with plaster and explosives?

Funny, I made a clip for this song like 9 months ago. Just for fun. The band posted it on their facebook and someone ripped it from vimeo and put it on youtube. Now it almost has 100k view there.

This video is way better though haha.

Looks like they first craved the image in a concrete wall and than filled it up again with plaster and explosives
  • Artur Caiano 11 months ago
Hi Tom! I think you're right on the mark there. I'm guessing that previous to craving in the wall, they must have drawn the image with a stencil.

Orelha Negra's mixtape comes out today, 2nd March. Be on the lookout for it everyone

I saw some of his works in London. It's chiseled by hand. No explosives whatsoever in the making of the art. The explosions are probably just a video layer. I'm no explosive expert but there's no way they could explose sharp edges and straight lines as shown.

  • Travis Hathaway 11 months ago
I just had a thought; what if you film at the wall for a while, then cut to the very frame of the explosion with the same camera setup after you've arranged those explosives on the wall. That way you wouldn't have to hide them. Right?

  • Kevin Loh plus 11 months ago
Looks awesome. I see some of the artifacting on the slomos, so looks like Twixtor or some such was used. Very very cool use of such.
