The Jones Report
This is my 1st short film. I spent most of my life heavily into music production, yet film seemed like a more exciting evolution. Once The Jones Report idea hit me, it consumed most of my free time for about 3 months. It stars my cousin, and a lot more of my family. The budget was shoestring, but we used what little we had to our extreme advantage, as I recommend everyone else do. I can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts and opinions. Thanks. -N. Panitz

Sia K 10 months agoThat was great! Could you tell us your camera set up? How did you get all those shots in tight places? What camera/s did you use? -
Narottama Panitz 10 months agoThanks Sia! I have Sony HD-CX7, and a Letus Mini from Letusdirect.com I alternate between 85mm 50mm 28mm and 14mm. Any close up shots are 85 to make the depth of field extremely shallow, but in a tight spot like the kitchen I would use the 14 or 28. thanks again for the question. -

1 month ago The story was good, The camera shots worked well, the editing was great so was the soundtrack. I felt technically the piece could benefit from better lighting, faces could of used more fill lighting in the interior shots. By the way of exposure youre blowing out your whites and its affecting the contrast in your shadows making them muddy. The color grading needs more more work the saturation is a tad too much but I like the color direction you're working towards. I see problems with the letus too, remember keep your aperture 5.6 and under and your shutter speed not more than 250th of a second this is what's causing all the grain in your exterior shots, the interior shots the grain is from low lighting. The letus Ultima has a different vibrating glass and you can play with shutter and aperture more but the mini (which is what I have) your limited in what settings to use. I have to say everything was pretty great confused why you let these technical things fall through the woodwork?
