SCOPE: This was created in 5 hours covering the Technological Skills contests. It's in the process of being judged, and we are hoping to make the regional levels, and move on to provincials. It was a challenging project with such a limited amount of time, and the limits placed on us gearwise:

- one video camera with one lens
- one microphone- all-purpose, non-wireless
- tripod
- apple computer running iMovie or Final Cut
- teams will be allowed to use only cuts, titles, freeze frame and dissolves
- no lighting kits allowed
- no external audio recorder
- music was supplied by judges because of copyright issues. tracks are from garageband.

We (Benjamin Mirka + I) shot with the 5DMKII and the 50 1.2 L on the 561 manfrotto monopod. Edited on MBP 17'.

Improvements:
- Need to take more time, and be less rushed so that I can focus more on working with the natural light as well as being able clearly think out the sequences I want to create
- Always ensure you get the best answers you can out of interviewees
- Execute b-roll shots better, that means doing them several times, and working with subjects if need be
- Monitoring audio through the 5D isn't possible, the best thing to do is record a test of the subject, and then play it back. However the 5D speaker doesn't do justice. Always use external recorders, except in this case were it wasn't allowed. The audio took the biggest hit I feel personally, I tried my best to minimize noise for the deadline, and have plans of fixing it when I get a chance.
