On February 12th, 2011 the Granville Island Storytelling Contest Winners went behind the scenes to experience the Insider's Tour of Granville Island: the grand prize for their winning story entries.

The Contest and the Insider's Tour are inspired by the wide variety of experiences that have captured the hearts of visitors and locals alike while visiting this cultural gathering place in Vancouver.

Winners and their guests each experienced a hands-on workshop with an artisan or an Island business followed by lunch on the house at the Sandbar Restaurant. After lunch, winners were treated to a beer tasting and tour at Granville Island Brewing and finished the day off with a tour of False Creek by Aquabus. Winners took home amazing gift bags stuffed with tons of unique Island goodies.
