'A wino, resigned and stuck in his ways, finds mysterious sketches on the park bench that he visits every day. As these pictures stir his thoughts, he begins to notice the world around him and to reflect upon his own place within it. He meets a young boy whose innocent encouragement helps to release him from his self destructive social withdrawal and unlocks a part of his character that had been long forgotten.'

WOW. This is simply excellent. A real joy to watch from start to finish. Great decision making throughout. Love the style, camera angles, character development, overall approach. The hard work and time that went in to this short really shows. Interested to know what software was used throughout (after effects, illustrator, flash? etc). Well done fellas!
  • Wesley Louis 11 months ago
Really appreciate your comment, and alos your levels of appreciation, it means a lot to us.

Used After Fx, Flash for the animation Maya for the ball which was then rotoscoped in flash. Photoshop, water colours, markers for the BG.

Of all the amazing entertainment to be had in the white noise of film art, your work speaks beyond the medium, moved me, and I am thankful, and will be following, and encouraging: to remain on the path of subtle and true story telling. Each phrase was perfectly timed, illustrated, and imbued w/meaning. Cudos
  • Tim McCourt 11 months ago
wow that's quite a compliment, and i'm really touched.

wicked amazing wes , tim and all, my favorite part is around 7.06 when the kid on screen right snaps the fingers, that brings back memories in my younger days man been a while since i have seen that gesture, again great work did this short do the festival circuit? how long did you lot work on it? congrats man
  • Tim McCourt 11 months ago
Hey man, sure your latest reel! your really amazing.

Soooo glad you liked it mate. and it's so cool you picked up on the kids doing licks! hahahaha
  • Leon W. Gittens 11 months ago
its funny as i was not sure if it was called licks, i was sitting here like damn what did we use to call that, as it had so many meanings from "shame to wicked" man, i need to visit home, thanks for the kind words currently working on a new reel, but much success to you man, watched the short like three times already visually beautiful and love the designs
  • Wesley Louis 11 months ago
Shame, wicked , rough, heavy, licks, all words are applicable to that gesture :) Its good to hear from you man. Thanks for the support. If your ever in town look us up.
