This is some footage I used to explain and demonstrate HDR timelapse at the HPA (Hollywood Post Alliance) Tech Retreat the other week. It shows how 9 shots of varying exposures can be combined into a single shot with the dynamic range of the entire set. Then I show split screen comparisons of the HDR merged footage vs the single baseline exposure that is part of the set. This demonstrates the increased dynamic range, yadda yadda yadda. I also show split screens that show baseline exposure on the left, and up to 4 (or 5?) different HDR algorithms stacked to the right, showing the different results different algorithms can yield.
Whee.
