1hr and 29mins in from William I. Robinson

"A system of Elite rule, which is a little more soft-core than the type of Elite rule we would see under a military dictatorship for instance, but what we are under - a Polyarchy is that the basic socioeconomic system does not change, it does not become democratised, wealth is not redistributed downward. You don't see a more equitable distribution of wealth and resources.

So that is the key: Socioeconomic Dictatorship and Free Elections."

Every right thinking individual knows this statement to be true.

The real hope is that we will in the short term start to act on that.

Look at how the Ruling Class which pretends to support Democracy has turned its back on the ordinary people of Libya.

Also, i really like the way it was produced. Good job leaving the lower quality video at a smaller size in the middle of the screen. blown up it wouldn't have looked as good. also thanks for avoiding narration. im sure you have a beautiful voice, but it was better to let the interviewees speak it. Great Job.

    Here's dilemma:

The liberal northeast is dependent on Wall St (and offshoots), health insurers, other insurers, and pharmas for its tax and job base. And liberal families are desperate to get their kids into an Ivy league school in order to get a good job on Wall St or with the consulting firms that support Wall St's rule. These facts are the basis for Neo-Liberalism.

That is, the liberal's relationship to the means of production is intrinsically compromised. How can that realistically change? Politics is not essentially about ideas. It is about specific class interests, often conflicting.

This most excellent summation of the situation here in the USA has garnered feedback far and wide where i have shared it. Lo Daniels, "operator" of the news blog Dandelion Salad, who works tirelessly to expose and keep current matters of relevance to planet earth said this: "This one film pretty much wraps up all the posts on Dandelion Salad." She had already posted it. I will do my part to make this important video GO VIRAL. I am working on transcribing key points. Thank you for putting this together. It would get more views if you will repost it to You-Tube. More people need to watch this. Thank you for being an Ambassador of Hope,Truth, Peace, and Equality. "Converting anger to action, and emerging from an infantile state", IS the Rx for what ails us. Lifting the veil......Indeed! It is TIME.

End the Federal Reserve Banking system, decentralize power back to the states and you will effectively reduce their power. It does at least change the battlefield.

I had to turn this video off. I've seen a lot of other films like this and felt this wasn't telling us anything new. It also felt very telegraphed and I had to turn it off when the opera music started. Reminded me too much of Godfather II. I'd recommend the Zeitgeist movies, instead. I think the second one is the best of them. Sorry to be the lone naysayer, but I don't think this movie is going to persuade anyone but people who are new "members of the choir." I've been in the "choir" for almost ten years and don't appreciate being "preached" to. I'm glad so many people care about the issues this video brings up, however. I hope more people become aware.

Around 20 minutes in, where the guy on the RT news clip says he's done the math and 'those people would get $350,000" ...1.4 trillion divided by 350,000 is only 4 million. But there are 312 million Americans, so it's rather misleading as used. If you divided 1.4 trillion by all Americans, it's 4,486 each.
  • Catherine Campion 4 months ago
Tom, watch that bit again. He's talking about disbursing the 1.4 trillion amongst the 4 million (or so) who lost their homes or jobs, not every single American.

The only trouble I have with this is that it pushes Democracy as the source of freedom for individuals and that capitalism caused all this mess. The truth is our nation was setup as a Republic governed by the Rule of Law to protect Private Individuals and their Property from the Tyranny of Government and the Tyranny of the Mob. The word democracy was never in the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights or any amendment. Many of our founders understood that democracy can trample individual rights as much as a dictator.

The real threat to freedom, liberty and prosperity is Centralized, Authoritarian Government. A government with concentrated power that can select winners and losers in the market. The kind that can kill at will, can imprison and steal from its citizens by skirting due process. A government that sets up a quasi private/govt central banking cartel that can print without limit is what caused the 2 Great Depressions and created(and exaggerated) the bubbles in the market.

Some of the people in this video misdirect blame and point to Capitalism and owners of businesses as the cause of inequity. However they forget that entrepreneurs and owners of businesses are the drivers/creators of jobs.

It is the failure of the Central Banking Cartel aka The Federal Reserve that has created the cyclical failures in our market by distorting the price of saving/borrowing by arbitrarily setting interest rates.

Don't be fooled into the idea that "democracy" is the panacea to what ails us.
Democracy often benefits the masses(mob) at the expense of the minority(individuals).

    Don't forget this.

    Excellent and so true.
Can one man change the world?
    Can hope outweigh greed?
How does our pinpoint of existence in the universe benefit when so few control our destiny?
