After trying to get films made and never quite managing it I decided to avoid all the obstacles to my ideas by buying a pile of small note books and drawing all the stories I wanted to tell in them instead.
The man who drew mice was one of those stories, doodled in an afternoon.
I thought it would make a good film and applied to Digital Shorts. Went to the meeting with my little note book, showed it to them and they commissioned it. It was the first film that I directed.
