I have long been interested in the rhythms of music and video. I have tried before, somewhat successfully, to sit and edit by hand video that felt like it was changing with the music. My world has been turned upside down by learning to use Max/MSP/Jitter. With these programs I can take video and audio clips and mix them together in a live situation. This particular visualization uses 4 clips I shot around New York (mainly the subway) and a few looped audio samples I also created. Using a game controller, I mapped the buttons to various functions that manipulate the sound and video at the same time.
