Waves Doppler Stereo: To create a doppler effect as we approach and pass through and over the fire coming out the exhaust of one of the racing cars! This gave that element a sense of movement as the camera flew over it.
Q10: Waves' Q10 equaliser is my go to EQ and was used for general sculpting of the sounds. For example, the heartbeat was treated to leave only the lower frequencies of the sound pulsing through removing the higher frequency elements that didn't suite the design of this piece. Also, the low impact that kicks us into the first frames of pictures from the cars is the windshield impact treated with the Q10 to remove all the higher frequencies and then enhanced with LoAir and a dark hall reverb from the Rverb to give it that trailer-like low impact sound.
LoAir: Apart from being used to add weight to that opening low impact, LoAir was used to add weight and size to other sounds like some of the car idles in the start.
H-Delay: This delay effect was used on the comentator's talking to make it sound more like it was being shouted out on a PA as well as used on various other elements of the mix.
Doubler & MetaFlanger: These were also used on several elements when combining some sounds to make them wider and make them tie together better.
Mondomod: Used to create the gated car pass at the end!
Enigma: Was used as part of the deformation of the pig squealing sounds which play right on the first shot of the car rim at the stat of the clip.
