I filmed this video from the back seat of Cirrus SR20 N725SB (West Valley Flying Club, Palo Alto, California, USA) during Kate Alhola's IFR training flight from Mojave Space Port to Palo Alto. Unfortunately the microphone was not put inside the headphone, so the IFR communications can not be heard in the film.
The takeoff and subsequent climb was very slow because of the very high density altitude and strong downdrafts caused by the wind blowing down from the mountains.
