Documentation of pilot cartwheel chain event staged for the Big Dance Festival in 2008.
Conceived and created by Charlie Murphy in collaboration with three top London gymnastics clubs, this event formed the longest acrobatic chain ever staged in London.
Murphy's Big Wheel pays homage to Edward Muybridge's pioneering studies of human (and animal) locomotion, and presents a powerful human gesture in the heart of the city.
This exuberant public display was created through entirely voluntary efforts.
