Trade Canoe for Don Quixote is a 4-Touchscreen installation devoted to the interpretation of a large 4-panel painting by the American Indian Artist Jaune Quick-to-See Smith. The interactive allows users to touch an animated version of the painting to explore its many references to European and American Indian art, learn about the artist's painting techniques, and other important information. The installation takes advantage of software technologies like Core Animation and QuickTime to achieve a fluid, responsive 4-screen display.

Trade Canoe recently won the 2011 AAM MUSE Award for excellence in interactive media design in the category of Interactive Kiosks.
