If you've ever seen him live, you may have been showered in his signature bottle of Moet or had the chance to push him over your head as he surfed the crowd. American electro-house DJ Steve Aoki laid out his roots in hardcore rock, but has surfaced as a major player in the electronic music niche. Aoki's record label, Dim Mak records, now reaching its 15th year of releases, also boasts an impressive signed artist lineup including The Bloody Beetroots and Dada Life. We sat down with Aoki after a show in Gainesville, Fla., and picked his brain about Dim Mak Records, his sound and his fan base.
