Our speaker at the February 2011 San Francisco, CreativeMornings (creativemornings.com) was Laura Brunow Miner of Pictory (pictorymag.com). This event took place on February 25, 2011 and was sponsored by Happy Cog and Typekit (who also hosted the event at their office in the Mission).

A big giant thank you to Chris Whitmore (whitmoreprod.com) for offering to shoot and edit the video. Photos were graciously provided by J.T. Trollman (jtroll.com).

The San Francisco chapter of Creative Mornings is run by Greg Storey (twitter.com/brilliantcrank).

I love the way this was shot, not the usual event footage.
How did you deal with the 12min clip limit?
  • Andre Bonner plus 10 months ago
looks like a GH1 (no clip limits) & a 60D, i guess when the 60D limit was reached the clips shift to the GH1 footage

I just can say: I work for money what gives me freedom and sparetime. If business is going bad I have to hunt with more pressure by a point of no return, less freedom and sparetime = stress. If business is running great I work for and with fun and passion because I don't have to care about money and can evolve my company to a better social and technological level. I can motivate my loyal and important staff by paying them right and probably more. Unfortunately this is the rare case these days where clients don't want to pay you for getting better and bankers, the tax office and more bureaucracy deal with you like: "one mistake and you're f*cked" and give a sh*t on your situation. For beeing successful in creative business you'll need to get paid right = not caring about money = more creative with a free mind = looking forward to a good and healthy future. But that's a wish for most of us...
