Named for the two-bedroom house that my great-grandfather built, and where my grandparents raised seven children, this short film examines the intrinsic relationship between a house and a family's memories. The film was shot using my grandfather's 8mm Brownie movie camera. Old family movies contact printed by hand are also weaved into the frame. Much of the film was also hand-processed. Stories from an interview with my grandmother tie together the short bursts of flickering light and imagery
--hinting at the strength of memories despite the fading and passing of light and time.

8mm and 16mm
