It can get boring as a runner on set. Always busy, never thanked, must smile, must not complain. Sometimes it gets too much and you vent, just a little, nothing major. But that's how it starts...

The Sugars – The Gossip EP
Nancy and Lee, Otis and Carla, Gram and Emmylou; when boy-girl duets are done right, they can't do much wrong. Matt Bolton and Anna Greenaway are the auspicious duo fronting The Sugars' raucous yet glistening sound. Soulful and fiery; there is a lot to like about the Sugars. Think big collars, high waist lines, ribbon microphones and an exciting blend of blues, soul and rock 'n' roll. A series of previous singles which have regularly graced the Indie top ten, followed by a critically acclaimed album (all on Bad Sneakers Records) have marked out The Sugars as one of the most exciting and promising new bands of the moment.

Their song writing is perhaps their greatest asset, and The Gossip EP is the latest offering from this London-based 3 piece. Taken from recent debut LP “The Curse Of The Sugars”, the title track is an infectious floor stomper driven by pounding drums and insistent guitar riffs. A sure-fire hit, Gossip exposes The Sugars at their best; energetic, raucous, soulful and catchy in three hard-hitting minutes.

The EP contains 3 remixes of Way to My Heart and offer three new ways to love this indie-disco classic, released as a previous single and also to be found on the album . The remixes here come from three of the hottest and most exciting DJ outfits going.

Renowned East London DJs Disco Bloodbath have created one of London’s most talked about club nights since starting off in April 2007 in a basement in deepest, darkest Dalston. With a unique soundtrack of ecstasy disco, spaced out italo, mutant pop noir, sacrilegious re-edits, proto house and other sounds that go bump in the night, the party has slowly grown to become one of London's most talked about clubs and they have since spread their wings to include regular guest sessions at Horse Meat Disco, Bugged Out!, secretsundaze, Fabric, Matter, as well as numerous festivals. The latest string to their bow is the launch of Disco Bloodbath Productions, with forthcoming remixes for Franz Ferdinand, Serge Santiago, and The Aliens as well as The Sugars.

Also featured is a remix by label mate and DJ/producer/musician Kato who under his 39Steps guise has his debut album released shortly on Bad Sneakers Records, and Brighton dance-duo PowerUp?!.

Track listing:

1. Gossip
2. Way To My Heart (Disco Bloodbath Remix)
3. Wayyyy To My Heart (PowerUp?! Remix)
4. Way To My Heart (Kato Remix)
