On January 30th, 2010 around noon we reached the summit of Aconcagua - the highest peak in the Americas as well as the tallest outside the Himalaya (6962 m / 22841 ft). This was our third attempt and with little food, fuel and patience remaining, it was our last chance to summit. Reaching to top was exhilarating and very gratifying as it represented the culmination of months of training, preparation and 11 days of trying conditions.
